With so many human rights being denied worldwide, the task of fighting on behalf of humanity and human dignity can seem daunting. Here the Center for Human Rights Leadership, at Claremont McKenna College, offers a forum for sharing stories and articles related to human rights and responses to them, as well as events happening on campus. Students and the general public alike are encouraged to participate in this blog.

This article made me think of the John Butler Trio's lyric, "Strange as it may be Sometimes life you know it ain't what it seems Like going to war to make peace Sometimes life you know it ain't what it seems". It is interesting how the theme in this article seems to be that a nation wanting peace would be a nation not willing to fight for peace. Does fighting for peace in the physical sense negate peace actualized?
